For the Uttarakhand government, PSI’s team was selected to facilitate a decentralised process of preparing district level development plans for three districts of Uttarakhand, Chamoli, Champawat and Tehri Garhwal.
The process of decentralisation required a comprehensive district planning of Tehri Garhwal district, conducting workshops, training BST members and creating Panchayat level resource groups.
PSI conducted 253 capacity building programmes including sensitisation of 7132 PLRGs to obtain primary data as well as in person meetings with documentation staff to create the district level development plan.
